By Car

North Berwick is only 35 minutes by road from central Edinburgh.

From Glasgow and the West - Join the M8 to Edinburgh, continue on the City Baypass A720 Eastbound then take to A1 South signposted to Berwick. Exit at Bankton Junction for the A198 following signs to North Berwick. Travel through Longniddry, Aberlady and Gullane to North Berwick.

From South and East - Follow A1 North. Exit at Thirstly Cross roundabout onto the A199. After 1 mile turn right onto the A198 to North Berwick.

On entering North Berwick, on the A198 follow signs first to the Town Centre, then to the Harbour.

Victoria Road is the last road leading to the Harbour, and turns into Melbourne road just at the junction where Victoria Road continues into the harbour area. Park where there is a space available.

By Train

There is an hourly train service direct from Edinburgh Waverley, journey time 35 mins. Trains stop at Musselburgh, Wallyford, Prestonpans, Longniddry and Drem before terminating in North Berwick. From the station it is a 15 minute walk to Melbourne Road, just follow signs to town centre then harbour. Just before the Harbour turn right, at the celtic cross, turn right along Melbourne Road.

Edinburgh International Airport is located around 7 miles west of the City, with good road links via the A1/City Bypass it is only 45 minutes by car. Car hire is readily available at the airport or a taxi collection can be arranged by a local taxi service.
