Inside No. 8 there is a seaside vibe with a happy mix of vintage and contemporary furniture. The house is decorated with maps and filled with wonderful fabrics, stripped wooden floors and wood-burning fires. You won’t want to leave.
Looking out of the front door one way you can see the masts in the harbour and the other way the end of the High Street, the best location for a truly relaxing holiday. Through the front door you enter into the hallway, off which is the wood-clad kitchen, warmed by an Aga. The kitchen is fully equipped for the most of enthusiastic cooks, with a large table and bench seating for many. Across the hall there are two bedrooms, one to the front of the house with a wood burning stove and one with a view to the back garden. Under the stairs, with a little step down, is a small toilet/wash basin.
The main sitting room is down a couple of steps at the end of the hall into a high-ceiling green oak room with full length glass doors which pull back to open the room into the garden. This is a large light filled room with three comfy sofas, TV/DVD, big wood burning stove and lots of books, games and jigsaws, plenty room for everyone.
Outside on the paved patio area there is a table and benches perfect for having long lazy lunches in the sun. There is also a huge relaxed seating area at the bottom of the garden.
Upstairs there are three gorgeous bedrooms, master king bedroom, a king bedroom and a single bedroom, all furnished in the same style with the main bedroom having an en-suite shower room. Downstairs there is a single room and a double room.
The main bathroom is also up here, having an over-bath shower with a large drenching rain showerhead. The house has wifi for those that need to stay in-touch with the outside world.
